This 3 inch by 4 inch printed circuit board
interfaces a Parallax BASIC Stamp II microcontroller to an RS485 network. See
Parallax (www.parallaxinc.com) for
details of the BASIC Stamp II microcontroller. The RS485 to BASIC Stamp II
Interface Board snaps into a base which provides access to the BASIC Stamp II
microcontroller via strong terminal blocks and also provides an extra +5VDC 1
amp power source. The board also comes with a manual that shows you how to
create your own RS485 Controller/Slave network of controllers. Sample source
code included.ApplicationsThe RS485 to BASIC Stamp II Interface Board can be
used in a Controller/Slave network environment. In such an environment the
controller is usually a computer, or a BASIC Stamp. The controller can control
many slaves, in this case our RS485 to BASIC Stamp II Interface Boards, which
respond to appropriate commands and act as the controller commands.Using the
controller/slave networking approach simplifies the creation of simple to
